I have been experiencing similar problems (although without Netscape up) - complete lockups while in KDE2 where I have to reset the machine. I think my problem rests with having several different versions of qt on the box (for various reasons). I have been meaning to clean this up & see if it helps, but have yet to find the time. This may not be your problem, but it might be something to look at anyway... Good luck! I have SuSE7.0 installed on a Linux box. It's wonderful. I have had negative experience with SuSE's Netscape, but don't use it any more than I have to. I love the Konqueror! This morning, with Netscape up, the damn thing locked up, severely. I had no keyboard, mouse control. Couldn't ctl-alt-<-, ctl-alt-del, ctl-D, ctl-alt-F1, or anything. Not sure what one does in that kind of situation. Of course, chose to shut it down hard. Had to fsck manually when I restarted, as hda3 was a big casualty. I then went back into my user KDE mode. Started the kmail, as that was originally what I was doing. Once again, as I was typing a reply [Netscape not up at this point], the whole thing just locked up tighter than a drum. So, now I need some advice on what steps one takes in this situation, before I shut it off. Any suggestions?
