Hi, does anyone have experience with WD Black2 Dual Drive (1 GB HDD + 120 GB SSD)? http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.aspx?id=1190 I'm thinking about buying it for notebook (well, I'm not sure, it is expensive), but the WD's web says it requires special software to access the HDD part, but it is available only for Mac and Windows, so might be there is no way to use it on Linux...? Greetings, Vojtěch
Hi AFAIK that's correct no way to work on linux.... if you can use two (or more) drives use bcache with a SSD.... You can have one bcache feeding multiple hdd's as well.
Yes, more drives would probably by easier for setup. I'm just wondering if I'd see two separate drives in Linux, but apparently not... Thank You for comment, Vojtěch -- Vojtěch Zeisek Komunita openSUSE GNU/Linuxu Community of the openSUSE GNU/Linux http://www.opensuse.org/ http://trapa.cz/
