Go to /usr/doc/packages and read the info on each of the packages. Applixware is pay software, and the demo may have passed the expire date. You may not have enough ram. Your 486 may be trying to load it, but you may have to wait a half hour. :-)
can someone in the list please tell me what I may have been overlooking second question I sniffed around in my system and went ahead to configure my system to boot to a graphical mode instead of ansci, and now I can't get it to boot to ansci now that I'm ready to.
There is a setting in Yast to enable or disable graphical login, it's called DISPLAYMANAGER. Set it to console.
I have some literature here with me and I read them and try to make as much sense of them as I can. I was reading "Suse Linux unleashed" and I cant find anything in it that would have told me what to do. can someone direct me to a config file that I can edit or to tell me what possible solutions there are. Third question How can I change user root's username.
I don't know if you can? You can however, create another user with a different name, with all of root's power.
Fourth question I have installed a 32mb of ram on the 486 system and I now need to increase my swap file system since I carelessly took all the defaults during the installation. How can I increase this swap filesystem without damaging the whole of hda3's system.
