with suse, so far, i'm working with "rpm" and "zypper". david rankin highly recommended installing "webpin" so, in a nutshell, what do people consider the must-have package management utilities for suse systems? thanks.
rpm, zypper, yast.
I'd consider http://software.opensuse.org/search (or webpin, as CLI for that) as more essential as yast -- otherwise one never knows where the needed package is in the maze of repositories called openSUSE Build Service. ;-)
i would tend to agree -- while yast is nice, i always prefer to start with the underlying commands. thanks. rday -- ======================================================================== Robert P.
