Thanks to all responded to the DVD software.
Now for the long shots,
1) As most of us know, we still need windows for tax software. Any one heard of Linux versions ? (US)
Until that time comes, HP-50 and a pencil work for me.
2) Being in the piano servicing business, I'm looking for Linux versions of tuning and CRM software. (Currently using (windows) Cybertuner and (linux) Quasar Accounting and flat files for records and history)
3) My cousins run a retail hardware store and I am looking for a linux based POS system specifically designed for the retail hardware industry or easily customizable for this industry. (Their currently using a UNIX based package and the company is converting it to be windows based)
Tell him to contact the company and ASK for a Linux port. Heavens knows it's only 1/10th the effort than porting to Windows...and if their clients aren't spending money on Windows OS, that's more money to spend on other POS hardware and THEIR software (and if they haven't figured that out, your cousin should TELL THEM). -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
