I have a system that I just can not seem to get the video to work. ... I am able to use the screen all the way through till it reboots then the video is messed up.
Any ideas?
Unless you already know it, login on a tty so you can get and give us output from: lspci | grep VGA Best to in addition to that, use susepaste.org or equivalent to share with us the file: /var/log/Xorg.0.log from running 12.2 at least. If you can get ungarbled video by switching to a tty in 12.3, get us to see a copy of whatever Xorg.0.log you can locate from it. Based on your lspci output, also look at whichever are applicable among: http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Configuring_graphics_cards http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:ATI_troubleshooting http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:NVIDIA_troubleshooting http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Nouveau http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Radeon http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Boot_video_modes -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive."
