Oh, I was a bit "overprecise" I meant to say that the "ALT-CTRL-F<1-8>" key combination does not work at all,
Then there is no way to get to a tty session as <CTRL><ALT>F[1-6] key combo is the only way to go from an "X11" session to a tty session. Or are you perhaps using VirtualBox and having the problem?
No, I am on a plain opensuse 11.4. The problem is: I can switch _from_ a X11 session to a tty[1-6] via <CTRL><ALT>F[1-6], but not _back_ with the same key combo (nor between the ttys), which is strange. The only way to switch between the ttys or back to X11 is via <COMMAND><LEFT|RIGHT> Sorry for being so imprecise today, was a short night :) BTW, do you know where is this key-combo defined?
