i had an issue like this however i was not dual booting. i did all the defaults and when disc 1 was done and it rebooted, i got the message that there was no operating system found. did another reinstall and clicked the expert tab to modify the boot loader. it was installing grub to hda2, i told it to install to MBR of hda and it worked. is that the same bug that will be fixed in beta 2?

A known bug and should be solved in the next version: http://opensuse.org/index.php/Bugs:most_annoying_bugs After installation, Windows dual boot not set up correctly in GRUB Bug #102703, solved for beta2
and the solution (from the bug page): Windows does not boot. If I change it to the old way (as documented in grub.info) it works fine: title Windows rootnoverify (hd0,0) chainloader +1 jdd -- pour m'crire, aller sur: http://www.dodin.net http://valerie.dodin.net http://arvamip.free.fr --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-help@opensuse.org
