[opensuse] Epson Perfection 1260 Photo scanner not working with 42.2

I have an Epson scanner which worked until I upgraded to openSUSE 42.2, from 13.1. It no longer works. When I try to configure it in Yast Hardware, I see an Epson Scanner that's not configured and plustek, but it says "No scanner recognized by this driver".
