I've set up dovecot as my mail server and have created an imap account for it. However, kmail only shows the local folder and not the imap server.
Why would it? You have to tell kmail to add your imap server.
Unless you mean something else :-?

LOL. Of course, I've added my imap server. Thanks. I'm sorry that the information that I gave was so incomplete. I had dovecot running on opensuse 13.1 and used the latest version of KDE and kmail. I upgraded to opensuse 13.2 via the upgrade option on the DVD. I discovered that dovecot was not installed so I reinstalled it. However, after I configured it in kmail, it did not show up, only the local folders.
I checked dovecot in systemctl and its status seemed okay. In frustration I reinstalled 13.1 but I really want to upgrade so here I am in the process of installing 13.2 again. If it still doesn't appear, I will query further but I hope that I've given you a better picture of what I am puzzled about.
Thanks. Much appreciate the response.
Eddie
Well after reinstalling 13.2 and a careful re-configuration of dovecot, it is all working. In the end, I think that the problem was more to do with a mis- configured imap server than a bug in kmail.
