Hi, If possible, i think it is best to install your DVD-drive in that machine. Install SuSE. And finally, put the DVD-drive back where you found it. Reinder Tryggve Johannesson wrote:
Hi!
I bought the DVD version of 6.4. Nice for two reasons. First one being that a lot of the bugs in the CD version seem to have been fixed before shipping of the DVD version. :-) Second one being the obvious that I don't have to swap CDs all the time. :-) :-)
BUT... (There is always one of those ;-)
I have a couple of machines without DVD readers. One is on the net, no problem. I hope. Not there yet. But I also have a machine that is unconnected that is in need of a SUSE fix.
I planned to copy the DVD to CDs to make this possible, as well getting myself a backup of the DVD.
How do I get the contents on the DVD on to 6 CDs as to make it possible to boot and install from them?
Any pointers {and|or} intructions are welcome.
