Hi all, Still no go on network. Although "ifconfig -a" shows me correct information as I am expcting from my network card, "route -n" disappoints me with gateway IP being shown as 0.0.0.0 while the network IP is alright. -from an older mail Check your IP address "ifconfig eth0". "route -n" to see if your gateway is OK and check your DNS entries in /etc/resolv.conf. Regards Sid. -done Thanks sid. I made that much progress. I think this thing stopped after I did a complete upgrade of SuSE SMP kernel for the HTT machine my professor friend has, and then had to change the IP address. Change in IP address seems to have no access to network. -- Rohit ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- +9122 5692 2108 G9,Floor-1,Chandivali : SDE : TLSI : 9821394599@bplmobile.com This mail sent using Linux.
