[SLE] 2.2.16 + NFS3 patch robust?

Hello, I'm considering installing kernel 2.2.16 plus Higgen's Merges' NFS3 patch (http://download.sourceforge.net/nfs/) on Suse 6.4. Can it be expected to be rubust?
