On August Friday 29 2008, Lucky Leavell scratched these words onto a coconut shell, hoping for an answer:
I am currently running 10.0 and wanting to upgrade to 11.0 but my old Dell 600SC apparently only has USB 1.1 which VMware does not even see let alone allowing guest OSes use. I am looking at a Rosewill RC-110-LX which uses Chipset: VIA VT6214L. NEC D72873GC.
Does anyone have any experience using a PCI USB (and FireWire in this case though the FireWire part is not necessary)?
Thank you, Lucky Leavell
I have had these cards in the past, and may still have one box running w/ a firewire card. I see no reason if the system can see one, that it would not see the other.. I guess to be perfectly clear, if your bios doesn't detect the card it won't be noticed.... but that hasn't been a real problem in nearly forever, IIRC. -- j "Science is what we do when we don't know what we're doing" Dr. Alvaro de Rujula -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
