10.1. usb drive 300Mb, ext3 I have 6 iso image on the root of the drive. I want to move them to a more meaning full folder, say "isos" if I do a drag & drop with the mouse (Konqueror), I'asked if I want to copy or move, I choose move. sometimes (probably when the total file size is under some limit) the move is made in a snap. rest of the time, it works like a copy first delete after operation (quite long on USB!) Cut and paste -> copy first operation. but if, when copying, I abort the operation quite immediately, the first file was copied (and good, if I can trust diff), so the move seems to have been done instantanetly, but not reported to konqueror the funny is that the file is not deleted from the Konq windos, but If i try to move it again, the answer is "no mailto:opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.orgsuch file", and of course updating the window fix the thing. so why does the normal operation takes 20 minutes when the files are immediately moved? can this be related to cache operation or writethrough operation or similar? (it don't seems so, if I do "remove safely" the disk is immediately unmounted and on remount the file is here. just for curiosity, in fact jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://dodin.org/mediawiki/index.php/GPS_Lowrance_GO --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
