You should use the XF86_SVGA server for your card. Could you use some of the info here to get sax2 configure your card correctly? http://sdb.suse.de/en/sdb/html/wessels_sax2.html Jostein
===== Original Message From Ron Joffe <rjoffe@yahoo.com> ===== I'm having an issue installing 7.3 Pro on an older machine. It has a Diamond S220 video card, and a no name monitor.
When installing 7.3, the installer uses some default X setup which seems to work just fine on this machine. However, as soon as it gets to the step of choosing a monitor, I get into trouble. No matter what choice I have made (tried just about all). The video from that point on goes wacky on me, and X is hosed from that point on. Even trying Sax2 from a command line later is really painful since the default is so screwed up. Is there a way I can tell the installer to just stick with the default settings it has been using so far?
Thanks,
Ron
