HI Everybody, I've installed SuSE 8.1 on my old P90 with 32 MB of memory and a generic IDE hard drive. There's nothing funny in this system, no SCSI, no RAID, just a standard IDE CDROM drive. Although it was really slow, I finally got to the screen that says to remove all media and reboot. When I did, the hard drive was accessed, and "GRUB" was printed on the screen with nothing more. The system won't boot. I am at a loss as to how to proceed. I tried to run the rescue system but my memory limits seem to prevent it from working. I booted the floppy and restarted the installation. When the installation was idle, I accessed one of the consoles (Alt-F9 I think). There was a prompt at which I can access some commands. I suppose I could just install LILO but I'd like to understand why the SuSE installation apparently failed me at this step with GRUB. Any thoughts?
