The sources are not installed by default. Look for lx_sus24 for the 2.4 sources. Could be in series "d" (development). The current /usr/src/linux/* stuff is probably from lx_include, which is include files only. But then, that should be sufficient? Maybe vmware doesn't work with 2.4? No idea, really... I'm about to install it myself, but with 2.2.18, for my tax software ;-)
