Try replacing the cable. CRC error on a HD means very bad error. If different disk gives same error, I'd suspect the motherboard, or perhaps cable. Software :-? Dunno, only if software makes wrong check. I'm assuming it is a HD CRC error, of course, message is not verbose enough. Try that "edd=off" it suggests. - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
