The problem lies in everybuddy initially creating the file .everybuddy/accounts You can manually create the account file using the following format: <ACCOUNT <type of account (AIM, MSN, JABBER, ICQ, etc.)> SCREEN_NAME="<screenname>" PASSWORD="<password>" </ACCOUNT> Obviously, you can put multiple accounts in the file, by stipulating multiple instances of the bit above. I hope this helps! --chris. -----Original Message----- From: Fast Info [mailto:fastmail@subdimension.com] Sent: Wednesday, July 17, 2002 11:17 PM To: suse-linux-e@suse.com Subject: [SLE] everybuddy gets segmentation fault I have downloaded and installed the current version of everybuddy. When I run it the first time, I get a small dialogue box where I enter my msn username and password. I then specify MSN in the drop down menu and then click OK. The dialogue box closes and I get a segmentation fault in the console window. I get a segmentation fault everytime I try to start everybuddy untill I remove the files and directories in .everybuddy in home directory. The entire process is repeated again. In short I cannot run everybuddy. regards Leo -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com
