I don't see this feasible unless done by a daemon. Ie, a daemon that does the real job and is not killed. To have the work continued by another, different, application, you need to save the current status to files that can be read by the next application, and this precisely takes time, making "quit" not at instant operation. -- Cheers/Saludos Carlos E.
