Hello, I think I am getting closer. I changed my apsfilterrc.ljet4 line to: REMOTE_PRINTER="/usr/bin/samba_print //192.168.0.93/HP -U 192.168.0.93 -N -P" In Netscape I have lpr -Pljet4 . I get ljet4 from the file /var/lib/apsfilter/doc/printer /tmp/smb-pring.log shows: mbclient //192.168.0.93/HP -U 192.168.0.93 -N -P Added interface ip=192.168.0.70 bcast=192.168.0.255 nmask=255.255.255.0 session request to 192.168.0.93 failed session request to *SMBSERVER failed I tried gettting rid of the -U in /etc/apsfilterrc.ljet4 : REMOTE_PRINTER="/usr/bin/samba_print //192.168.0.93/HP 192.168.0.93 -N -P" I still get mbclient //192.168.0.93/HP 192.168.0.93 -N -P Added interface ip=192.168.0.70 bcast=192.168.0.255 nmask=255.255.255.0 session request to 192.168.0.93 failed session request to *SMBSERVER failed I typed smbclient -L //lora and saw: Added interface ip=192.168.0.70 bcast=192.168.0.255 nmask=255.255.255.0 Sharename - HP , Type - Printer So I have the server name correct and printer name correct. What gives? Our administrator says that somewhere there should be the command "print". I believe the -P takes care of that. I tried going to the directory /var/spool/lpd should I use one of the names in the list below, which came from this dirctory??? I feel close. George __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! Messenger - Talk while you surf!
