I'm thinking about how can I modify my "header from" (the one seen above), while at the same time leaving the "envelope from" intact - as this is the one used by the list software to post mail to the list and allow me in.
In the .muttrc file, set envelope_from=no my_hdr From: Carlos <whatever@dot.com> will get you started.
I was told that mutt can do it - but the mutt interface pisses me: I simply do not know what to do there even to see my mail!
you just have to get used to it. In any mutt screen, just hit ? to get a list of commands.

Mutt is Pine on steroids ... there is nothing you really cannot do or modify in an email message.. I have used over, now 50 MUAs in the last several years, and always go back to mutt... It is the fastest around and totally customizable.
So... any other way to do the trick? I normally use Pine, but I also use
Ideas out there?
