While I am on LO, does anyone know where, and the name of the file, LO keeps the darn Dictionary to which one adds new words?! (I use English GB, btw.)
I am tired of having to start over again everytime I install the latest LO :-( . So, if anyone knows could you please let me know? Thanks.

I'm not running 4.x but is it not here? ~/.config/libreoffice/3-suse/user/wordbook/*.dic

Thanks Peter and one would think that this is where it is but I just checked the contents and many of additions I made as late as 2 days ago are not there.
And in any case, it really should not matter if it is version 3 or 4 - the dictionary should remain from one version to the next and not begin "with a clean slate" when LO is upgraded.

I should have looked more closely because the dictionary is actually spelt out in Options>Paths and it points to ~./config/libreoffice/4/user/wordbook. BUT there is something missing in all of this because there are words in this 'dictionary' which are NOT recognised in a document which I just opened and are therefore considered as spelling errors. The directory '......./wordbook' contains the actual dictionary file which is called 'standard.dic' and perhaps this is what is missing from the path in Options but I cannot see a way of adding this file name. The other thing, in the Options>Paths there is the ability to select DEFAULT for any item but when one selects DEFAULT for the path of .....wordbook the path changes to a directory where LO is actually installed (/opt/..........). I'll have to contact the people at LO re this unless someone here has already found the solution to why the standard.dic does not recognise words in a document when those words had previously been added to the dictionary.
