Hi all,
I still have problems with this masquerad. In rc.config I put under MSQ_NETWORKS="192.168.1.0/24"
Is this your *network* address? See my comment for your gateway!
MSQ_DEV="/dev/ttyI0"
When I start Nescape on the Win95 machine my Linux PC dials without any problem, but there is no display in Netscape. It seems to me that the Linux PC does not tranfer anything to the Win95 PC. Do I have to set some more thing in: hosts.conf host or resolv.conf or somewhere els, in order to tranfer the connection to the Win95 PC. I also tried to put the default gateway 192.168.1.0 in YaST, but it still doesn't work.
Well, good Idea, probably wrong address. The gateway is your ISP's PtP port address, the address you dial to. (On your Linux box!!)
On your Win XX machine, you must enter a nameserver (either your ISP's nameserver or, if you have a caching NS running the eth0 address of your linux box) Furthermore, your default Gateway on your Win XX system is (again eth0 address) is your Linux box, since that one knows the way to the next gateway (see above) HIH Jürgen -- ========================================== __ _ Juergen Braukmann mail: brauki@cityweb.de| -o)/ / (_)__ __ ____ __ Tel: 0201-743648 dk4jb@db0qs.#nrw.deu.eu| /\\ /__/ / _ \/ // /\ \/ / ==========================================_\_v __/_/_//_/\_,_/ /_/\_\ - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A</A>> and the archiv at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A</A>>
