I have a windows box located on a subnet. My main internal network is on an SMC Barricade (smc7008abr) using 192.168.2.100/24 and the subnet in on a D-Link 604 using 192.168.0.100/24. I have Samba shares set for the systems on the 192.168.2.* net which includes the dl-604 (192.168.2.103 IIRC)for the subnet. I have verified that the samba shares are valid and proper user and samba accounts were created on the server. I cannot however see the samba share on the one desktop unit on the subnet. I set up the subnet as a laptop is often used in the same room, and there is a gaming station capable of using the internet (though this isn't set up yet). There is no firewall on the windows desktop unit, and I haven't tested out the laptop as of yet. Has anyone run across sharing Samba over subnets?
