is vmware free? or? ========================= Chuck ctewksbury@mediaone.net ----- Original Message ----- From: "jaakko tamminen" <jtamminen@satabaana.net> To: <rosendo@celasmaya.edu.gt>; "Discusion" <suse-linux-e@suse.com> Sent: Thursday, January 31, 2002 1:07 PM Subject: Re: [SLE] yast2.....
Hi
What I would do, is to install vmware (OS-emulator platform), and install Winxxxx to it.
Then I could have Linux running all the time, and start Winblows in its own window, where one could see the difference.
Probably have one computer equipped with Matrox G400 Dual-head display-card (or any dual-head), so that one could really compare the feel and see both OS side-by-side.
This ofcourse does not apply to speed-comparison, because an OS is usually slower in emulator.
Actually I have found, that disk-operations are sometimes faster under emulator, but screen-handling is much slower, so it is definetly not for gaming!
Hope this helps.
Jaska.

Hi everybody,
This is my first time here and see how effective is. I just want to know how to use yast2 so that I could switch or change from operate system and both should still on or active. I have win and linux 7.3 on the same harddrive. I'm working at an internet caffe. If clients don't have idea about linux then I just want to get the win OS without re-start and put linux back when that client is gone.
