no sounds on IBM T41

Hi, Is there some invisible mute button on T41 besides the one on keyboard? Alsaconf & yast say everything is fine when it comes to drivers, and so do applications but T41 just doesn't make a single beep. Adjusting volume affects nothing. Tried to adjust it via yast, alsamixer, kmix, kamix, .. yet nothing. Ideas? -- // Janne
