Just for archiv-use:

After disabeling XGL in GNOME (with the XGL-Button in Control-Center) my Windows don't have titels nor borders, Alt+Tab isn't working, also everything which was animated within XGL before.

There were no window-borders and -titles because gnome window manager was not started at login. I had to add gnome-wm in gnome-session-properties > start programs... I myself will buy new hardware since I like the "new" gnome being implemented in suse. And XGL is a nice feature... Johannes
