1) Is suse-linux-e safe from a similar attack? I'd hate to see this resource destroyed by one disgruntled individual.
This list was one of the bigger in the world when the Mozilla project was still very wet behind the ears. And some factors prevent us from similar things happening here: o We have one of most competent admins who really knows what he's doing (10+ years experience), and really take care of handling this list. Of course some people whine that he's too tough sometimes, but he's the major reason. o We're only open to subscribers. o We're not setting the Reply-To to suse-linux-e@suse.com We've seen attacks to the list earlier, though, but the list is very alive and kicking. -- Mads Martin Jørgensen, http://mmj.dk "Why make things difficult, when it is possible to make them cryptic and totally illogic, with just a little bit more effort?" -- A.
