Thanks for the idea, but it doesn't seeem to help. It still takes around 30 seconds for google.com to show up. Now on the other hand, if I wanted to punish myself and connect to msn.com, well then it would only take me a few seconds for the suffering to begin. :-)
google is special as it checking to figure up whhich geographical location your ip belongs to and then it will redirect to that server. For example since I am in germany google decided that I should do my seraches in German with google.de. So google is an exception
