I want to print text to dot-matrix printer, as far as I know, " lpr " can do it. For example echo "I want to print 1 line only" | lpr. It will print that text to printer with form feed. I want to print that text without form feed.
echo "foo" |lpr -Praw works for me. To print a form feed, use echo ^L |lpr -Praw (press Ctrl-V, Ctrl-L for the ^L).
