I'm trying to install a sound card with es1371 based chip to a Suse 6.3 with 2.2.14. Everything went fine until I tried
wavplay sillisound.wav
as I got this reply to the console:
Invalid argument: Audio block size (64 bytes)
I've been around the net and Suse's maoling list arhives, but no luck.
lspci -i recgs the card, no irq conflicts.
Sorry, I can't help you with the sound card bit. Jon'll probably jump in, as he's a fan of the es1371 chip...
BTW: Is there really no "search from mailing lists archives" feature at suse.de?
No, there isn't. I get the impression that they are working on it though. It would be really helpful if they did get it working, wouldn't it? For the moment you'll just have to visit geocrawler.com or deja, as I believe they have searchable archives.
