I'm using SuSE Linux 4.4.1 with kernel 2.0.29. I've Netscape 4.04. I'm trying to setup the proxy. I go to preferences -> advanced -> proxies -> manual proxy configuration. There I input "proxy.straubing.baynet.de" with port 8080. It then gives me an error "Http (and FTP) proxy host "proxy.straubing.baynet" is unknown.
What should I do?
Jim... proxy.straubing.baynet.de is an alias, maybe that has something to do with it... Try putting in the name: ie. h200.straubing.baynet.de pw:/root # nslookup Default Server: ns3.bellglobal.com Address: 198.235.216.130
proxy.straubing.baynet.de Server: ns3.bellglobal.com Address: 198.235.216.130
Name: h200.straubing.baynet.de Address: 194.95.218.200 Aliases: proxy.straubing.baynet.de hope that helps. -- Lou A.
