When at home I like to use an external keyboard and serial mouse connected to a laptop. Anyone on this list who has configured X to use two mice simultaneously? I have done this with gpm, but the X howto's don't seem to mention this sort of thing.
I guess that I could create two different XF86Config files and run X via a script which would rename the files, but then I would have to maintain 2 different config files whenever I wanted to change something - seems kind of kludgely.
I have done this on my Toshiba laptop, but I was using a ps2 mouse. I don't know how your laptop is but I didn't have to do anything to Linux I just set it in the bios to allow two mice. It is a feature in the Toshiba setup. Good luck. -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Darren R.
