[lncurses, lcurses and building apps]

Hi everyone, I was trying to build newest snapshot of centericq, and had some problems. I got the error message: ******clip****** /usr/i486-suse-linux/bin/ld: cannot find -lcurses collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make[1]: *** [centericq] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/install/centericq-3.34.16/src' make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 ******clip****** I had some discussion with the maker of the app, and following did help: ******clip****** cd /usr/lib ln -s libncurses.a libcurses.a ******clip****** So now I'm just wondering if the link should be there ready in the dist, or was there something wrong in the way the maker of the app linked those libs? eero
