I would highly recommend for you to update to firefox 1.0 web browser. You can download it at ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/apt/SuSE/9.1-i386/RPMS.mozilla Download the MozillaFirefox-1.0-0.1.i586.rpm and install it using the command (as root) rpm -Uvh MozillaFirefox-1.0-0.1.i586.rpm And then start firefox.
I've also installed the last StarOffice version that is actually the same as the current OpenOffice tool coming with SuSE 9.1 I'm using StarOffice for writing a paper. Unluckily everyone else in the team I belong to uses Windows. Therefore I've been requested a MS-WORD compatible paper for revision on part of other people. Does anyone know whether there is an output file format supported by StarOffice and/or OpenOffice that is readable by MS-Word ?
Yes, OpenOffice and StarOffice can save the fiile as a MS-Word file. Click on File -> Save As and then choose Microsoft Word in the Filter.
Thank you in advance for your help. MEM
