Novell is pushing for Beagle, but that requires the installation of a whole load of Gnome stuff (I use KDE), Mozilla (I use Firefox) and Spamassassin. And the dreaded Nautilus.... 180Mb in all, which is all a bit much for me.
Isn't Beagle part of the default SUSE install? I haven't noticed if it requires all of that stuff - I too use KDE and Firefox, doesn't seem to make a difference.
It may be on 10.1, but on it's not on 10.0. It features in the package manager, but as i say, needs Nautilus, Evolution, all the gnome libs installing and a mess of other stuff. I was surprised that Kat and Beagle were the only two options for a Linux desktop.... jalal -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com
