I am an avid user of Gkrellm after an malfunctioning fan destroyed my mainboard. On my recent mainboard I am not able to get fan speed and voltages. And only two temperatures are shown. temp1 and THRM, whatever those temps are. Read the manpages from sensors etc. , googled and came up with no solution. Only one hint to start using dmesg was useful. I found following lines : [177140.816151] w83627hf: Found W83697HF chip at 0x290 [177140.816211] ACPI: resource w83627hf [io 0x0295-0x0296] conflicts with ACPI region IP__ [??? 0x00000295-0x00000296 flags 0x5f] [177140.816218] ACPI: If an ACPI driver is available for this device, you should use it instead of the native driver I should use an ACPI driver instead of the native driver w83627hf. How should I do that? Where are ACPI drivers to be found and how should I force the use of such a driver? -- Linux User 183145 using LXDE on a Pentium IV , powered by openSUSE 11.3 (i586) Kernel: 2.6.34-12-default LXDE WM & KDE Development Platform: 4.4.5 (KDE 4.4.5) "release 272" 14:03pm up 2 days 1:47, 4 users, load average: 1.17, 0.55, 0.58 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
