Are there incompatibilities between e2fsprogs 1.42.7 (.7 = the latest version) and OpenSuSE? The reason I ask: e2fsprogs .7 is out for a while and exists for all major distributions - except OpenSuSE. Key packages like this usually appear in the OpenSuSE package search fairly quickly, but not this one. So I wonder: Is there a technical reason for that? Background: I have a 19TB ext4 file system with bigalloc that I need to resize to 23TB. e2fsprogs 1.42.6 has a bug in the resize tool that corrupts the file system when resizing. Earlier versions cannot do that at all. 1.42.7 fixed this, so I really need this version. Of course I could try to compile it myself, but if this version is known to cause problems openSuSE, then I guess I should not.
