In particular you don't address why mounted file systems should not be used instead of subvolumes.
there have been unnumerous discussions about how many partition have to be created. The default openSUSE that fits most people was two (/ and /home) then three when EFI wanted one. but then the question is: why do we need so many subvolumes? is it possible to resize subvolumes on the fly? I never wanted to use lvm, because it makes fixing problems difficult and much of my time is spent fixing not working machines, why should I have subvolumes? I have no database on my desktop (none that have meaning), not even on my server jdd -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
