Thanx Philippe,
I have tried to install the iScan, but it needs an libieee1284.so.3 (32 Bit). OK
Installed by default on openSUSE 10.3 is the libieee1284.so.3()(64bit) 0.2.10-107, in /usr/lib64 So I guess the i586 libs will go into /usr/lib. Yes
I further presume the iScan software will automatically be directed to the 32bit version and not the 64bit version (which should be left for 64bit apps)? Correct.
I found a 32bit libieee1284.so.3 for openSUSE 10.3 here: http://fr2.rpmfind.net//linux/RPM/opensuse/10.3/i586/libieee1284-0.2.10-107..... This is the 32bit lib meant for 32bit installs.
What you need is the 32bit library meant for 64bit installs. You should find that in the x86_64 repository, and it should be called something like "libieee1284-32bit-0.2.10-107.x86_64.rpm HTH Cheers.
