Note that 11.2 will still contain the kde3 libraries, so you should still be able to run kde3 applications on it. It's just the desktop environment that's removed Looking at the mailing list for kdewebdev, it seems Quanta for KDE4 will take a long time to complete. They seem to be very low on developer manpower.
