You have a point, although I had none of those troubles with the lower 2.2.* kernels. I'll most likely end up buying it, like always. Now I'll have to install a DVD, too. Michael Hasenstein wrote:

What makes you think we're close? What makes you think 2.4.0 (dot ZERO) will be more stable than the other dot-zeros before? So far I - personally - always waited for the 3rd version number to become two-digit (>9).
