I have the same problem but I don't use lilo...only loadlin. I have 256mb of ram but linux only sees it as 64mb. How can I make it use the whole lot? Thanks!
I thought, this is a RTFM Question, but, as I read my SuSE Manual, (5.0, a bit older) I did not find *suiteable* example for the correct syntax with loadlin.
I'd simply add a "mem=256M" without, and if it fails, with quotes to the line in your *.bat file that contains the loadlin call. You can always boot DOS to change /correct / remove that entry.
With the SuSE kernels there is no need to add the append line now. I run 192megs ram in my workstation and SuSE sees it fine with no append at all. -Dee W.D.McKinney (Dee) deem@wdm.com Faith is acting on your passions & beliefs. - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A</A>> and the archiv at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A</A>>
