Oops - sorry ... not sure where I got that info from 'just speculation' I guess. You know how the Linux industry changes from moment to moment. I'm not part of the beta team. I was turned down.

I don't think it'd even be that big of a deal anyway... I think it's fairly safe to assume that each new Linux distro's going to have close-to-latest KDE, gnome, gimp, and the usual proprietary "tools" to make it pretty. (I can see someone from Red Hat scribbling now... Ooooh, KDE 3.3 - we gotta go compile that sucker!) If it >IS< only gaim .82 in the release, I'll be disappointed, seeing that 1.0 is out now ;)
