xdm

Hi, i have a weird problem: i use xdm to login and when i start a window manager, and quit it using the log off button or something like that, all my consoles are gone. If i quit my window manager using ctrl-alt-backspace i still have my consoles Is there a solution ? Thanks, Bart?.
