Hello everyone! Today i encounterd a strange problem. My Laptop ran out of battery and opensuse quitted due to this. Here is the problem: After rebooting into the system my wireless network did not work anymore! It is correctly connecting to the router and getting a ip adress and i can also open the routerlogin but i cannot reach any stuff outside although the plasma module says that i have small up and down connection. I tried around some stuff and also tried to connect the laptop via cable, but still the same problem...Also with cable! I then tried to reload the kernel module (rt2800pci) but still the same problem. I also tried it with a different wireless network (my smartphone's) but it is all the same! I then reinstalled NetworkManager with the correct package with rpm -Uv Netw… but still the same! Nothing seems to help, but I am sure, that it is my system which is causing the problem… Thanks for help, Benjamin.
Check the contents of /etc/resolve.conf But I cannot tell you how to correct using Nm, yast network maybe will work to reset the search and nameserver fields as they are probably the problem. ps: your email client/editor does not wrap lines. Please correct. -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
