Hello Linux folkz, I got a little bit confused with the size of single swap partition Linux can handle. Running Linux book stated that: "A single swap partition may be up to 128 MB in size. I you wish to use more than 128 MB of swap you can create multiple swap partitions. For example, if you need 256 MB of swap, you can create two 128-MB swap partitions." Recently somebody on Linux mailing list described his server having 256 MB and 1 GB single swap partitions. Does it mean that modern Linux kernels can handle a single swap partition of these sizes and the book gets a little bit outdated? Could somebody clarify me these issues. Thanks in advance.
