THE BACKGROUND:
I recently decided to add Guru's site to my list of sites to look for RPMs for SuSE 9.3. As a test, I knew I wanted to updated from amarok 1.2.2 to amarok 1.3.7, which is indeed at: http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/misc/suser-guru/rpm/9.3/RPMS/i686/
Here's the full package name there: amarok-1.3.7-2.guru.suse93.i686.rpm <http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/misc/suser-guru/rpm/9.3/RPMS/i686/amarok-1.3.7-2.guru.suse93.i686.rpm>
As Guru's site states (at http://linux01.gwdg.de/~pbleser/ ), I added an installation source that used HTTP and was at: http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/misc/suser-guru/rpm/9.3/
In other words, the server I listed was ftp.gwdg.de and the directory was pub/linux/misc/suser-guru/rpm/9.3. It looks okay to me.
THE PROBLEM: For some reason when I go to install new software in Yast, it's not showing that 1.3.7-2.guru version available. Why?
Did you remember to "refresh" and "enable" the YaST source? -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989, linux since 1994, SuSE since 1998
